Hello! Many of you might be familiar with Alexei Navalny, the Russian dissident whose defiance against Putin led to a nerve agent attack and subsequent imprisonment in an Arctic prison (yes, really).
Navalny's courage and sacrifice have made him a symbol of resistance.
Two remarkable women continue his legacy: his wife, Yulia Navalnaya, and daughter, Dasha Navalnaya. Both have become vocal critics of the Putin regime.
Yulia stepped into the spotlight as Alexei's advocate following the nerve agent attack in 2020, ensuring he received life-saving treatment in Berlin. Her resilience shone through again at the Munich Security Conference, where she learned of her husband's death and boldly called for international accountability for Putin's actions. Yulia then released a video pledging to carry on the legacy of the half of her heart and soul that Putin did not crush.
Dasha, a 23-year old political activist and a student at Stanford, leverages media to challenge Putin's authoritarian rule.
Though the Putin regime murdered Navalny, his spirit endures through the dedication of his wife, daughter, and the millions of individuals inspired by Navalny’s bravery and work exposing corruption.
